11. Mystical Witch’s Bubbling Cauldron
No outdoor Halloween display is complete without a bubbling, smoking witch’s cauldron simmering on the front porch. By 3D printing a large, rustic cauldron complete with textured rivets, iron handles, and a faux-wood burning fire base, you can create a safe and highly controlled centerpiece. The cauldron is printed with a wide, hollow interior designed to perfectly house a standard ultrasonic mist maker and a small water reservoir.
The top rim of the cauldron features printed, translucent green “bubbles” and foam spilling over the edges. When you place LED strip lights beneath these translucent sections and turn on the mist maker, the fog rolls over the glowing bubbles, creating an incredibly realistic illusion of a boiling, magical potion. You can program the lights to shift from toxic green to deep violet, making it look as though a powerful spell is actively being brewed right before your guests’ eyes.
