13. Possessed Gothic Picture Frames
Hang a gallery of the undead directly on your porch walls or between your windows with possessed gothic picture frames. These highly ornate frames are printed with intricate baroque details, featuring tiny skulls, twisted vines, and gargoyle faces embedded in the borders. Instead of a traditional canvas, the center of the frame houses a thin, 3D-printed lithophanes or a weather-proof digital screen displaying a changing portrait.
Using a lithophane allows you to print a seemingly normal, elegant Victorian portrait. However, when a light behind the frame is switched on, the hidden details of the print are revealed, transforming the beautiful subject into a decaying ghoul or a screaming demon. This jump-scare style decoration is incredibly effective for porches, where visitors stand in close proximity while waiting for candy, giving them a delightful and unexpected fright.
