2. Frankenstein’s Laboratory of Learning

2

Turn your classroom door into a mad scientist’s dream with a vibrant Frankenstein theme that sparks curiosity and scientific wonder. Cover the door in bright lime green paper to represent the monster’s iconic skin. Use black felt or textured construction paper to create jagged, messy hair at the top of the frame. Cut out two large, expressive eyes with heavy, drooping eyelids to give Frankenstein a friendly yet sleepy look, and draw a stitched scar across his forehead using a thick black marker. For a three-dimensional effect, attach two painted silver plastic cups to the sides of the door frame near the bottom to serve as the neck bolts. Across his chest, place a giant chalkboard-style sign that says, “We’re Making Monsters of Math and Science!” You can even have each fifth grader write their name on a small paper bolt or test tube cut-out and scatter them around the door, fostering a sense of community and collaborative learning.
