Spooky Window Silhouettes
Make your home look like it is occupied by monsters, witches, and mad scientists with dramatic window silhouettes. This project is highly effective at night when your indoor lights are turned on, casting sharp, terrifying shadows onto your window panes for the entire neighborhood to see.
Measure your windows and sketch out large-scale designs on black poster board or heavy construction paper. Classic designs include a witch stirring a cauldron, a hand reaching up, a lurking monster, or a pack of howling wolves. Cut out the shapes and tape them directly to the inside of your window glass. At night, close your blinds or curtains behind the silhouettes and turn on the room’s lights. The bright interior light will project the dark, crisp shapes outward, creating a cinematic and spooky view from the street.
