Floating Candle Luminary
Recreate the magical, floating candlelit ceiling of the Hogwarts Great Hall right in your own hallway or dining room. By using cardboard toilet paper rolls, white paint, and hot glue, you can craft incredibly realistic, dripping wax candles that float effortlessly in mid-air.
Paint empty cardboard rolls white or cream. Use a hot glue gun to create thick, cascading drips down the sides of the rolls to simulate melting wax, painting over the dried glue with a matching white paint. Insert a battery-operated LED tea light into the top opening of each tube. Thread a needle with clear fishing line through the top of the cardboard roll and hang them from your ceiling using removable adhesive hooks. In the dark, the cardboard disappears, leaving only the illusion of dripping, flickering candles floating above your head.
