The Seine Riverside Canopy Counter

12

Capture the breezy, romantic atmosphere of a café along the banks of the River Seine with an open canopy counter design. Use warm mud bricks, spruce logs, and granite to construct a sturdy, rustic foundation that feels weathered by the river air. The defining feature of this build is a large, sweeping canvas awning created using red and white wool blocks or terracottas sloping down over the counter. Underneath the awning, the counter surface features a functional work area complete with cauldrons filled with water (acting as sinks), crafting tables hidden underneath trapdoors, and smoky campfires placed beneath iron bars to act as bread ovens. Hang tripwire hooks on the walls to look like keys or hanging utensils, and scatter water lily pads and potted plants nearby. This build offers a perfect balance of functional survival utility and narrative story-driven detail.
