Wicked Witch’s Bubbling Cauldron
No Halloween yard or hearth display is complete without a classic bubbling witch’s cauldron. Use a large, heavy plastic or ceramic cauldron as your base. To create the illusion of a boiling, magical potion, place a mist maker or ultrasonic fogger inside a bowl of water hidden within the cauldron. The dense, cool fog will spill over the edges and pool around the base, creating a realistic, low-lying smoke effect.
To make the potion “glow,” line the inside of the cauldron with green, purple, or orange LED strip lights, and place translucent plastic ornaments or green glass baibles on top of the fogger to look like rising bubbles. Surround the base of the cauldron with real firewood, dry leaves, and flickering amber lights to simulate a burning campfire, making it look as though a powerful spell is actively being brewed.
