19. Creepy Classroom Clock
Turn the standard, institutional classroom clock into a ticking reminder of the spooky season. Cut out a large, menacing silhouette of a black cat, a flying witch, or a creeping monster from black cardstock, positioning it so the creature appears to be clinging to the top or side of the clock frame. Modify the clock hands temporarily with lightweight paper cutouts to look like skeletal fingers pointing to the hours. You can also add a vinyl decal or paper banner beneath the clock that reads, “Time Flies When You’re Having Fun… Or Running From Monsters!” It is a small, clever detail that adds a lot of personality to the room.
