Incorporate a touch of haunted elegance with a mirror that reveals more than just a reflection. Find a large, ornate Victorian wall mirror with a distressed, tarnished frame. Using a specialized frosted glass spray or dry-brushing technique with sheer grey paint, create a ghostly, aged patina around the edges of the glass, making it look as though it has been salvaged from an abandoned manor.
For a truly magical effect, conceal a dim, backlit silhouette of a witch or a skeletal figure behind a semi-transparent section of the mirror. When the ambient room lights are low, the figure subtly emerges from the depths of the glass, giving the chilling impression that a spirit is quietly watching from the other side of the silvered pane.
