- How to Make It:
- Center 1 lb of clay on the wheel, open the base, and pull straight, even walls into a modern cylindrical or tapered belly shape.
- Use a metal rib to smooth the interior while leaving subtle, rhythmic wheel ridges on the exterior surface.
- Cut the mug from the bat with a wire tool and allow it to reach leather-hard consistency.
